Individual

Psychotherapy

I provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults.

Individual therapy is a one-on-one relational experience, where I focus on your  individual needs for therapy. It allows us to build a strong alliance, as we work together to alleviate the challenges that you are experiencing. Individual therapy has been proven successful in dealing with mental health challenges.

I find it rewarding to work with a variety of challenges, some include:

  • Anxiety Disorders and stress management

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Bipolar disorder

  • Depression

  • Dissociative Disorders

  • Gender identity and expression

  • Personality disorders

  • Neurodiversity (Autism and ADHD)

  • Relationship counselling

  • Relationship orientation (polyamory and consensual non-monogamy)

  • Self-exploration and personal growth

  • Sexuality and sexual orientation

  • Sexual Health

  • Suicidal thoughts

  • Trauma, sexual and gender-based violence

Duration of individual therapy:

Therapy may range from as little as four session or continue for years, depending on the needs of the client and the approach used. Read up on my approach here.

The amount of sessions are determined by a range of factors, including the difficulties that the client is experiencing and the goals that they may have for therapy. I do not recommend that a client commits to a certain number of sessions beforehand as each therapeutic journey is different. The number of sessions should be discussed between the client and psychologist.
